Pisang La Sireh Pisang!

Ada ke sedekah yang tak ikhlas..? (Soalan retorik) Eheh.

"...Dan mereka memberikan makanan yang disukainya kepada orang miskin, anak yatim dan orang yang ditawan, (sambil berkata) 'Sesungguhnya kami memberikan makanan kepadamu hanyalah kerana mengharapkan keredhaan Allah. Kami tidak mengharap balasan dan terima kasih darimu.'"
[al-Insaan, 76:8-9]

Wahai kaum lelaki sekalian, sila jangan ponteng solat Jumaat! Kalau tak nanti kena panah petir! Ahah!

Peluh kecil sebab kadang-kadang diri sendiri pon terkantoi jua.)

Sweet n Sour

Orait, finally, after a long while, this section is gonna be updated! B-)

Sweet n Sour is one of my favourite dishes. Be it chicken, fish, crab (ooohhhhh...) or prawn, anything will do just fine! In fact, I feel like eating it tonight! ^^ So I'll put up the picture once I have cooked it, ok??

Since I feel like cooking fish, I'll share with you how to make a saliva-lickin' good sweet sour ikan merah! Ahahaha.. ;p

Bahan-Bahan
Ikan Merah
Sebiji telur
Bread crumbs@Tepung
Ubi kentang
Sos cili dan sos tomato
3-4 ulas bawang putih
Sedikit halia
Bawang besar
Gula
Tepung jagung

Cara-cara
1) Potong ubi kentang dan goreng. Potong ikan merah accordingly, depend la on your own preference.
(Note: Tonight is the first time I'm gonna use breadcrumbs. So we hafta wait and see the result!)

3) Put aside the fried fish and potatoes. Sekarang tumis bawang putih sehingga naik bau. Then masukkan sos cili dan sos tomato sesedap rasa. (Note: Ahaks! Seriously, I've never measured the exact amount of the sauces! Couldn't really careless, could I?? Bantai je la...!) Masukkan sedikit air.
4) Masukkan hirisan halia. (Warning: If you don't really like the taste of ginger, do not put them too much then! But it does give the smell and essence, so ginger is a must!)
Masukkan hirisan bawang besar. Masak sehingga kuah mendidih.
6) Adjust kuah dengan gula secukup rasa. If you prefer a lil' bit more of sourly taste, then you can add tomatoes in it.
Motif: Memekatkan kuah!
8) Wait for a couple of minutes, just to ensure kuah btol-btol pekat! Sedia untuk dihidangkan.

Well, that's just it! Easy, simple and trust me, DELICIOUS! Oh, if anyone is wondering why I choose ikan merah, it's simply because it suits this dish most! But you can always try some other fish! ^^

Ahah! As promised, taadaaa...!!! Looks REALLY good huh? Well, I surely hope it is! Bon apetit!

And oh yeah! If you feel like cooking chicken instead, frying it with garam and kunyit should do just great. I have never tried cooking crab or prawn sweet n sour. Selalu makan kat kedai je... Hihi~

So hey, try la, and enjoy!

Daging Masak Hitam

3 posts in a day....? I must be really bored huh...??

Just can't stand dolce's scrumptious roti canai, to be honest... ;p So just wanna share with whoever have so much of free time reading this entry (ahah!) and nothing else to do, the turun temurun recipe (my allahyarhamah granmama to my mama and to me...! ^ ^) that i personally rate as one of my signature dishes! (cant help to blow my own trumpet here!)

Bahan-bahan
Daging (dihiris)
Kicap manis (Cap Kipas Udang...?)
2/3 Ulas Bawang besar
20 biji Cili Kering
Asam Jawa
Gula n Garam secukup rasa

Cara-cara
1) Rebus daging. Kalau rebus daging guna, say 4 cups of water, rebus sampai tinggal satu cawan je. DO NOT throw away the air rebusan!
2) Goreng daging yang dah direbus sampai garing.
3) Blend bawang and cili kering. 20 are a lot actually, for those yang tak tahan pedas! So agak-agak la...
5) Masukkan air lebihan rebusan tadi. Masukkan kicap manis secawan.
6) Masukkan daging yang telah digoreng tadi.
7) Tunggu seketika, sebelum masukkan air perahan asam jawa.
8) And the rest, as any other recipes, pandai-pandailah repair secukup rasa. Tambah gula sikit ke, garam ke, more asam jawa ke...
9) Masaklah sehingga pekat.

Tips: Honestly, there is no specific or special way of doing this, or any other dishes for that matter, but to use your own wit and experience. In other words, agak-agak je la... Ahah!

Ready to eat! Sedap dimakan dengan pulut kuning, nasi mahupun roti! *drool*

I have to warn you though... It takes a hell lot of energy and time to prepare this! But trust me, it is worth cooking! Simply DELICIOUS!

Disclaimer: I won't be responsible for any casualties or fatalities as a result of failing to cook this dish properly. Please consult me should any difficulties arise. hihi~

p/s: I'll put up the picture the next time i cook it. Which is, er, a very long time from now..............? ;p
